Sawn yorkstone is polished or honed to a smooth finish and can be used for both internal and external construction projects. Our sawn yorkstone is a sandy yellow colour and is very durable and resistant to wear and weather.
Sawn yorkstone paving
York stone sawn paving has a smoother surface than riven paving and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects. The paving is sawn from large yorkstone blocks with a diamond blade saw and the slabs are honed to a smooth finish. Sawn yorkstone for building projects
Our sawn yorkstone products include steps with bullnosed or chamfered edging, swimming pool edgings, wall tops, kitchen worktops, and window sills, mullions, quoins and jambs for construction projects. The bottom picture shows diamond-sawn york stone slabs made from our larger grained york stone sandstone. The slabs have been sawn all round to make large window sills.

We also use sawn yorkstone to create fireplaces, memorials, house name plaques, kitchen worktops and other masonry work from our ashlar blocks.
